Your PADI Open Water certification is a passport valid at any dive site on the planet — and few places on Earth are better to earn it than Isla Mujeres: 26-29°C water year-round, visibility beyond 20 meters and living reefs minutes from the dock.
The course takes 3-4 days on a flexible schedule: theory (with PADI digital materials you complete at your own pace), skill sessions in confined water, and four open-water dives at MUSA and Manchones Reef, the island's most iconic sites, where everything you learned becomes real.
PADI-certified instructors, small groups and the Caribbean as your classroom. You leave the island a globally certified diver, with lifetime access to dives down to 18 meters in any ocean.

Frequently asked questions
What's the minimum age?
10 years old. Divers under 15 earn the Junior Open Water card, which automatically becomes Open Water at 15.
What if my trip is short?
You can complete the theory online (PADI eLearning) before arriving and finish the course in 2-3 days on the island. Tell us your dates and we'll build the schedule.
What if I struggle with a skill?
No problem: you repeat it until mastered, at no extra cost for reasonable sessions. Our goal is that you leave diving safely, not quickly.
Does the certification expire?
No, it's for life. If you go a long time without diving, a ReActivate refresher gets you current in an afternoon.
Are materials and the card included?
Yes: PADI digital materials, full equipment during the course and the international digital certification are all included in the price.
Do I need previous diving experience?
No, no previous experience is required — the course teaches you from scratch, step by step.
