Scooter Rental

License required · 8 hours to explore the island

8 hours Year-round From $800 MXN

Isla Mujeres was made to be explored on two wheels. Barely 7 km long, the whole island opens up in a few hours: the white sand of Playa Norte, the eastern seawall with waves breaking on rock, the Punta Sur sculptures on the cliffs where dawn touches Mexico first.

Choose the format that fits your plan. With 8 hours you get total freedom with no tour schedule: breakfast downtown, swim wherever you like, eat ceviche wherever it smells best, and chase the sunset down the west coast ($800 MXN). With 24 hours you live the island at every hour, including sunrise at Punta Sur — the first place the sun rises in Mexico — before the ferries wake, and a night in town once the day-trippers are gone ($1,100 MXN).

The scooter is delivered in perfect condition with a helmet included and on-road assistance: whatever happens, call us and we'll come. A valid driver's license is required. The reservation deposit is $150 MXN for either option.

Frequently asked questions

What license do I need?

Any valid driver's license (your home country's works). Without a license we can't hand over the scooter — it's a legal and insurance requirement.

Can two people ride?

Yes, the scooters seat two. Both helmets are included.

What's the difference between the 8-hour and 24-hour options?

8 hours: $800 MXN. 24 hours: $1,100 MXN. The reservation deposit is $150 MXN either way.

Can I start with 8 hours and extend to 24?

Yes, just let us know before your time is up and we'll confirm the remaining balance ($300 MXN) to settle at check-in/handover.

Is gas included?

The scooter comes fueled for touring the island. For 8 hours you'll rarely need to refill; for 24 hours you might need an extra top-up.

What if it gets a flat or breaks down?

On-road assistance included: call us and we'll reach you wherever you are with a replacement or a fix.

Can I ride at night (24-hour option)?

Yes, within the island with the scooter's lights on. The island is calm at night; ride carefully on the eastern seawall, which has dark stretches.

Where do I park it overnight (24-hour option)?

At your hotel or Airbnb, in the lodging's parking area with the included lock.

What does the basic insurance cover?

Major vehicle damage with a deductible. It doesn't cover negligence (riding on the beach, lending the scooter to others without a license). Details are in the rental agreement.

Can I extend for more days?

Yes, at a preferred daily rate. Let us know before your rental ends and we'll extend it with no hassle.
